& Process

It was mostly a 'get to know you' interview to assess cultural fit. There were a few technical questions, but they weren't very challenging. Overall, the interview went well, and the interviewer was pleasant.

I was initially recruited from the University of Houston, as the main goal of on-campus recruiting is to hire interns who might later receive full-time offers upon graduation. The initial on-campus interview was a 20-minute session with a Senior Manager and a Director, who is essentially a partner at PKF. A few days later, I received a call to schedule an office visit. The evening before the visit, we were invited to a dinner with some current employees. The actual office visit took up most of the day and involved about 6 or 7 other candidates. It kicked off with a welcome coffee and breakfast where many current employees were present, and they were all really friendly and approachable. Following that, I went straight into interviews. I had three separate half-hour interviews with different directors or managers. After the interviews, all candidates were taken out to lunch. I happened to sit next to the president of the firm, which was pretty intimidating. After lunch, we had a few more sessions, including one where the president discussed the firm's history and another where employees answered any questions we had. The visit wrapped up around 3 p.m., and I got a call with an internship offer later that same afternoon.

It started with a self-introduction. Then, the interviewer asked questions about my CV. She also asked about my hobbies, if I mind working overtime, and if I'm interested in tax or audit. She mentioned she'd be looking for someone who fits the team's personality.
