Marketing Specialist
The interview process was split into three rounds. If you've checked out other reviews for Peak Concepts, you probably have a good idea of what the application and interview process is like and what the job involves. I was really keen on the idea of working for this company, but even before getting a job offer (which I'm guessing will come this week), I already know I won't be taking it. All three rounds were pretty much identical to what I'd read in other reviews. Mostly good stuff, but some aspects just aren't really working for me. You know when you know! I've decided not to move forward with this opportunity.
- Can you share your marketing experience?
- What's the distinction between direct and indirect marketing?
- Describe a situation where you demonstrated leadership in any setting (work, academics, sports, etc.)?
Account Manager
The interview process was really something else. Lots of music playing and people seemed young but professional. I met with the director, his assistant director, and another manager. They asked me some really interesting questions about myself and then went over a quick business model. They invited me back for a second round two days later where I got to see more hands-on stuff and learn more about the job. By the third round, I accepted the offer because I was really looking for a place where I could grow professionally, not just a 9-5.
- Can you define marketing?
- Are you able to manage yourself effectively?
- Do you envision yourself taking on a leadership position in the future?
Marketing Assistant
I applied for the marketing assistant job. The first interview was with the owner, who was very nice and informative. It lasted about 20-30 minutes, and I was asked to come back for a second round the next day. The second interview was with a leader at Dunkin Donuts. At this point, the job title and requirements were a bit different from the original ad, and I learned the pay was commission-based (signing people up for Home Depot promotions), which wasn't what I wanted. The third interview was the same day back at the office with the owner again. They emphasized company culture, which I liked and was looking for. Everyone was friendly and answered my questions, but it just wasn't the right fit for me.
- What is the difference between indirect and direct marketing?
Marketing Concierge
I interviewed for an entry level marketing role. The interview took 2 days. Samantha at the front desk was really inviting and made me feel at ease, which is great because I usually get super nervous. The managing director was professional and clearly explained the company's business and clients. I liked their team culture. For the second round, I met some of the staff, and they all seemed happy in their jobs, which was nice to see. I'm starting their training program next week and am excited.
