Marketing Coordinator
I was fresh out of college and didn't know how to job search well. I saw Peak had marketing and managing positions, and I applied for both. Turns out, the only job they really have is outside sales: going to Home Depots to talk about bathroom renovations and book appointments. When I went to their Denville office, everyone there looked really young, like under 25, and without much business experience. For my interview, one of the younger employees, who'd only been there a month, took me to Dunkin Donuts for coffee and the interview. It felt unprofessional and awkward, like a weird date. If you want an outside sales job doing bathroom renovations in big stores (and they said the pay is decent), go for it. They'll likely hire you, but they're misleading about the job titles since it's all the same role. I turned down the offer after the first interview because it wasn't what I was looking for.
- What's your approach to dealing with rejection?
- Do you enjoy interacting with people?
Marketing Coordinator
It was a 3 step interview process. Just a basic interview where they asked about yourself, your strengths and weaknesses what you like doing and if you want to grow within the company. Very nice people work for this company. You have to come in for a second interview if you pass the first one and it is just a more detailed interview.
- What are your strengths?
Marketing Coordinator
I applied online and got a call back pretty quickly. Had a short phone chat, then went to the office for what seemed like a great first in-person interview. Then I went back for a third interview, and that's when I realized I'd been duped.
- Can you share an instance where you took the lead on a project?
