Sales Representative
The interview process was a bit disorganized with a lot of waiting around. They didn't give much info about the company or the clients present. It felt a bit like The Apprentice. If successful, they sometimes take you out for a drink afterwards. It was worth it though because they put me forward for a few different roles.
- If you could be any celebrity, who would it be?

When you apply, you have to do an assessment centre first before recruiters can help you find a job, but they don’t make that clear. The day is pretty long and focuses on sales. If you pass, you get access to job search support, but passing doesn’t guarantee a job. I wouldn’t suggest it. The assessment centre has two group tasks and a presentation. When you get there, you introduce yourself and have to say which famous person you would be; make sure you have a good answer, as you’ll need it for your first task, which is about who to keep on a boat.
- You do a presentation on why sales and then they ask questions after.
- You give a presentation on why sales and then they will ask questions after.
Account Manager
The recruitment process was pretty fast. It began with a screening call, followed by a brief phone interview, and then another prep call before the assessment centre. I know some candidates also had an online assessment centre. The support from Pareto before the assessment was really great; they offered helpful feedback and were very responsive. However, on the assessment day itself, we mostly waited around for activities, and the outcomes were shared on the same day. I'd say only about 1 hour out of 6 was spent on actual tasks. It might have been better to share the results via email that evening to save everyone time. It was also harder to get in touch with the Pareto team after the assessment. The waiting time is the main reason I feel neutral about the experience.
- Can you introduce yourself and explain your interest in sales?
- What makes you think you'd excel in a sales role?
- Describe a time you made an error.
Manager
It started with a quick phone call to go over the basics of the job. Then, if that went well, I was invited to a virtual or in-person assessment day that lasted about six hours. During the assessment day, we had to give a 3-minute pitch on why we'd be great in a sales role. Out of the 21 people there, only 6 were successful. From there, it's usually that you get trained by Pareto and placed with one of their clients for an entry-level sales job, but there's a small chance you could interview internally. I actually got an internal interview with Pareto at their office, which was in-person, and I had to do a 5-minute presentation. A few hours after meeting the team, I got a rejection call.
- Can you share an instance where you managed a project and faced a challenging situation, and how you handled it?
