ERP Consultant
It was an assessment center day, which was a good experience with different activities to do and present to the group. We were also split into groups and got the outcomes the same day. It was a bittersweet ending to the day.
- What is your top skill?
Consultant
I sent in my CV and had a quick phone chat. Then, I was invited to an assessment centre which had two parts. Some people left after the first part. The structure and questions were the same as what others have posted. I did really well in the assessment centre, apparently one of the highest scorers, but I didn't get the job and couldn't get any feedback. Turns out Pareto mostly hires for sales roles, which I didn't know beforehand, so there weren't many other roles I liked. I got good feedback from Pareto Law afterwards, but it was all positive, so it wasn't super helpful for future interviews. If you prepare using the questions on here, you'll have a big (unfair? tactical?) advantage.
- Tell me about your greatest non-academic achievement.
Technical Consultant
Pareto reached out after seeing my resume for a Technical Consultant position with Oracle + Netsuite. We were greeted warmly at the assessment center, though I noticed they were observing us closely. I decided to just be myself, figuring if they didn't like that, I likely wouldn't be a good fit anyway. They introduced themselves and kicked off the orientation. They mentioned that feedback would be provided regardless of the outcome, which I appreciated as some companies don't offer any explanation. The day involved group exercises and activities where we were watched, followed by a 3-minute presentation about why I'd be suitable for a consultant role. After the initial part, a select group would continue, while others would leave. Then came individual interviews with about two interviewers, tailored to our roles. For the technical role, there was also a paper test.
- How would you handle a situation where a client poses a question you can't answer?
