First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at OSL Retail Services.
Sales Consultant
First, there was a 30-40 minute phone call with an HR rep who asked about my past experience and some scenario-based questions. Then, I had a Zoom meeting with the district manager. Finally, I had an in-person or phone interview with the direct manager.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What is your experience like?
- How have you handled challenging customer situations in the past?
Sales Associate
You'll have a 20-30 minute chat with the Kiosk manager. They'll ask about you, what you're interested in, and your understanding of tech products. Make sure to show you're into technology, like new gadgets, phones, and laptops. Show them you keep up with the latest tech trends and devices, and know enough about the tech specs to explain them to customers buying things.
- What types of technology pique your interest, and what aspects of it do you find most appealing?
Data Engineer Lead
I had an unusually rude interview where both the interviewers acted with condescension. I have over 9 years of experience in the data world, and they ask "what is data warehousing". Imo, they came woefully unprepared and didn't really have any intent to hire a lead DE. They also seemed to question the authenticity of their applicants.
- Can you explain what data warehousing is and describe its purpose?
Junior Java Developer
There were 3 steps in the interview process: a test task, an interview with the tech lead, and an hr call. The test task was quite difficult for a junior developer role. The conversation with the tech lead went well, and I was able to easily explain the test task.
- Can you explain pipelines?
- Tell me about backend systems.
- What do you know about Azure cloud?
