The interview process felt off. They asked questions that seemed irrelevant to the role, and even though I answered them, the interviewer wasn't satisfied. The interviewer appeared disengaged from the start, which made the experience less than ideal.

Behavioral Presentation

The whole interview process should take about 2-3 weeks. First, there's a phone interview where they ask basic questions and go over company policies. Then, you have an in-person interview that's pretty standard, asking why you're interested in Orkin and about your qualifications. After that, they'll give you a script for a fake company to study at home for a second interview. In this second interview, you'll do a sales presentation where the branch manager plays the customer, and the regional sales manager watches via Zoom. Then, the regional sales manager will interview you. The last step is a drug test, which might take up to a week to get results.

I was asked a lot of questions for an entry-level position, and they raised my hopes up, but then they never called me back. Based on that, the company is really unprofessional. They want people with no experience, but what that basically means is they are looking for young kids so they can easily micromanage them.

I applied via a hiring manager recommendation. HR reached out for an interview, but I could only schedule it two weeks later due to their slow response. I had a 20-minute video screening with HR. They mentioned an assessment, but I haven't heard back since and got no response after following up. Such a waste of time and effort.
