I applied online and was invited to interview. It took them 2 weeks to schedule a call, and when the TA sent the details, they accidentally sent another candidate's slot with their CV attached. I really hope my data wasn't handled with the same carelessness. I spoke with the hiring manager in an unstructured chat. It seemed okay, but I didn't feel a strong connection. I followed up after a week, and they ghosted me. Honestly, it was one of the worst candidate experiences I've ever had.

The interview process spanned almost two months, and it was fairly straightforward because they focus on your skills and what you bring to the table. They'll also assess your Tableau skills in the final round, so be ready for that. The process involved four stages: First was a numerical and logical skills test, which was a bit challenging. Second was a 30-minute introductory call with a team member to discuss your skills and interest in the company. Third was a virtual assessment day featuring a separate interview that delved deeper into your strengths and experiences, continuing from the initial call, with no technical questions asked. This was followed by a group activity, a case study that was enjoyable to work on. Fourth was the presentation stage, where you had to select a dataset, analyze it, and present your findings to a three-person panel. They will ask questions based on your data. My recommendation is to create engaging Tableau visuals that align with the expectations of a consultant, so choose a dataset that is somewhat complex.

It started out well, but things went south quickly. I got a baseline salary figure during the first recruiter call. Then, I went through two successful interview rounds. They gave me a verbal offer, but it was $10k lower than the salary initially discussed. I asked about the difference, explaining I was willing to be flexible but wanted to see if we could get closer to the original figure we agreed on before I started the interviews. The recruiter said they'd check and get back to me. It's been three weeks with no word. Honestly, don't tell a candidate a base salary if it's not accurate, or be ready to actually offer that salary when you extend a verbal offer. Since I got good feedback from both interview rounds, it's really disappointing to have had zero communication at this stage. I'm marking 'Yes, but declined' because there isn't another option for this strange and disrespectful situation.

Started with reasoning and numerical tests, similar to other companies. The assessment centre began with a general meeting and an intro to Concentra and the role. Interviews were staggered, so there was a long wait. The personal interview focused on competencies, like using data for decisions. Then, there was a scenario with visual info where I had to decipher data and present recommendations. The final part tested making assumptions with limited info, like estimating a number with no prior data, focusing on my process and logical reasoning.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you provide an instance where you leveraged data to inform a decision?
  • How would you interpret this visual data and what recommendations would you present to the client?
  • Given minimal information, how do you approach making assumptions to arrive at an answer, and can you explain your logical process?
