First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Orgvue.
Consulting Analyst
The interview process spanned almost two months, and it was fairly straightforward because they focus on your skills and what you bring to the table. They'll also assess your Tableau skills in the final round, so be ready for that. The process involved four stages: First was a numerical and logical skills test, which was a bit challenging. Second was a 30-minute introductory call with a team member to discuss your skills and interest in the company. Third was a virtual assessment day featuring a separate interview that delved deeper into your strengths and experiences, continuing from the initial call, with no technical questions asked. This was followed by a group activity, a case study that was enjoyable to work on. Fourth was the presentation stage, where you had to select a dataset, analyze it, and present your findings to a three-person panel. They will ask questions based on your data. My recommendation is to create engaging Tableau visuals that align with the expectations of a consultant, so choose a dataset that is somewhat complex.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Tell me about an instance when...
Consulting Analyst
Initially, I was told by the TA lead there would be three interview rounds and that I'd likely be hired as a consultant given my background. But after Round 3, the VP informed me they were only hiring for the analyst role and that I actually had another interview plus a presentation. This caught me off guard because I thought I was done, but I didn't say anything. After the fourth interview, which I thought went well based on the feedback, I was waiting to schedule the presentation. When I followed up, I found out they weren't moving forward. After six weeks, four interviews, and lots of prep, I was shocked to be rejected just before a potential work sample. I feel like I was strung along as a backup candidate, wasting my time and effort. I wouldn't reapply.
- Can you tell me about a difficult decision you had to make and how you managed it?
Graduate Consultant
So, first up was a bunch of tests: numerical, verbal, and abstract thinking, plus a video interview. After that, I got invited to an assessment centre. There, I had a chat with HR, which was pretty standard and relaxed. Then came a technical interview where I had to look at some graphs and do a quick market sizing question. The last part was a group task where we had to figure out the cause of a certain problem. I got through that, and then had to put together a presentation using Tableau on any topic.
