Director
The hiring process for this Director role involves 4 interviews and moves at a pretty slow pace. They're actively recruiting for many director positions right now. While the compensation is on the lower side, the benefits are decent. Definitely try to negotiate your salary.
- What motivates you to want to join this company?
Phlebotomist
The phlebotomy interview process usually kicks off with a quick phone chat to see if you've got the basics down and can communicate well. If that goes well, you'll likely come in for an in-person meeting, maybe with the hiring manager or a group of interviewers. You'll probably have to show you can do things like draw blood. They'll also want to know if you understand safety rules and how to talk to patients. If everything checks out, you'll then talk about pay, benefits, and when you could start.
- What makes you the best candidate for this position
Compensation Analyst
I applied online and a recruiter contacted me for a phone screen. However, the hiring manager reached out directly later that day, so I was told to disregard the phone screen. I asked about the salary range but was told it's against company policy to share. I was asked to provide my desired salary, and then I asked if I could work remotely. The recruiter confirmed that I could work remotely from my state and listed states where remote work isn't allowed. When I mentioned my state's salary transparency law, the recruiter stated that Ochsner doesn't hire from states with such laws. I was then informed that they would not move forward with my candidacy and received a rejection email.
- What is the lowest salary you would accept?
Program Manager
The interview process started with a screener call with a recruiter, followed by an interview with the hiring manager. After that, there were three more interviews with people I would be working closely with. Ochsner moved quickly, which I appreciated given the number of rounds. They were upfront about the process and their pay and hybrid work model. However, their handling of my rejection was really off-putting and soured the whole experience. I figured out I was no longer being considered when I couldn't find the calendar invite for the final round of interviews. I tried reaching out to both the recruiter and the hiring manager but got no response. A week later, I got the standard automated rejection email.
- Can you describe how you manage multiple projects when they have competing deadlines?
- Could you tell us about yourself?
