First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ochsner Health.
Program Manager
The interview process felt informal and consisted of just two rounds. I spoke with the directors and the manager for the role. This particular position was in graduate medical education, and it seemed like the team was quite close-knit.
- What aspects of this job do you feel confident about your ability to handle?
- In which areas do you anticipate needing additional assistance?
Program Manager
The HR person gave me a call and did a quick screen to make sure I was a good fit. Then they mentioned they'd set up an in-person interview with the director. A week later, I got the call to schedule it. After the in-person, they said there were still a few more interviews and that someone would get back to me about the results.
- What contributions do you believe you can make to Ochsner Health?
Program Manager
The interview process started with a screener call with a recruiter, followed by an interview with the hiring manager. After that, there were three more interviews with people I would be working closely with. Ochsner moved quickly, which I appreciated given the number of rounds. They were upfront about the process and their pay and hybrid work model. However, their handling of my rejection was really off-putting and soured the whole experience. I figured out I was no longer being considered when I couldn't find the calendar invite for the final round of interviews. I tried reaching out to both the recruiter and the hiring manager but got no response. A week later, I got the standard automated rejection email.
- Can you describe how you manage multiple projects when they have competing deadlines?
- Could you tell us about yourself?
