First, I had to do an online assessment that tested my basic reasoning. Then, they reached out to schedule interviews with some NVR people. My interview was supposed to be in person, but they had to switch it to virtual because people got sick. It lasted about an hour and a half, and I talked to 4 or 5 different people.

The interview was conversational and not like an interrogation. I interviewed with three people who were all warm and welcoming. The hiring process was lengthy because they want candidates who are serious about becoming a project manager and are willing to be trained for it. My honesty about my life goals might be why I didn't get the position, but career-wise, I want to be a project manager in the construction industry, and unfortunately, that wasn't a risk they were willing to take. So, if you want this position, don't let them know you have personal goals like being a real estate developer. Learn from my mistake.

I just moved to the area and applied for the role. The recruiter started by asking if I was currently working. When I said no, she laughed and commented on how people move without a job. She then asked about my previous jobs before and after my 8-year military experience, completely skipping over the military part. She informed me I would need to take an assessment test to gauge my personality, which turned out to be a 40-minute problem-solving test. After I took the test, she emailed me a week later to say they were passing on me. It also sounds like they require you to have a truck, suggesting they'll use your vehicle for work. Best of luck to anyone else interviewing there.

I was brought in through a staffing agency. I met with two managers on-site for about an hour, and they were really nice. After they mentioned there was toxicity and drama, and that all the processors were new, I decided not to move forward. Major red flags there. They said you really need to be metric-oriented and competitive for this job, and it just didn't seem like a good fit for me. Be ready for an hour-long interview with two managers, and then another hour-long round right after that.
