Sales Representative
A recruiter reached out after I applied online. We had a 30-minute call where she reviewed my background, explained the job, and talked about pay. Then, I got an email to do an online psychological and intelligence test, which took a few hours total. After they reviewed the results, I was invited to a final interview with three managers (division and sales managers). This 4-hour interview focused on behavioral questions and my resume experience. They were friendly, and we chatted casually about my background, not strictly following a script. It wasn't nerve-wracking, and I actually enjoyed discussing my achievements.
- Can you share a time you experienced significant disappointment?
Sales Representative
It started with a phone chat with the recruiter, then I went in person to talk with the sales manager, and the last interview was with the division president. It was pretty laid-back, but they did ask some challenging questions. Make sure you're ready to talk about your sales abilities.
- What's your approach to handling customer objections?
Sales Representative
I went through numerous interviews, and after 6 of them, the last one being an in-person interview, they still decided not to hire me. I'm not sure what they're looking for, given I have over 12 years of experience in commission-based sales and have worked for high-end companies.
- Can you describe a time you overcame a challenge?
