Behavioral Presentation Case

The interview process was multi-round and generally well-run: conversational interviews with future teammates and managers, followed by a panel presentation built around a case study. The case study was fair, an Excel workbook, and a short slide deck on a client success scenario. Here is where it went wrong: HR explicitly told me I was the ideal candidate. Then the company stopped responding entirely. No offer. No rejection. Nothing. To make it worse, I had also completed extra interviews beyond the standard process at their request. That additional investment of time led to nothing, not even a courtesy email. The internal misalignment was apparent in hindsight. The division manager's portion of the process felt disconnected from everything that came before it, including references to roles that were never posted publicly. My read is that the company had not finalized whether the role was actually approved or what shape it would take. Bottom line: Strong candidates can and will get ghosted here after a lengthy process. Apply only if the role is a true priority for you. I rarely leave reviews, but candidates deserve to know what they are walking into here. They made me do a lot of hoops, interview with 2 recruiters, then enablement, then sales director, twice, with 2 weeks in-between, then again a panel where only 2 of the same people showed up. I had to sign an NDA before the panel, and they gave me a big assignment. The instructions for the assignment were not followed during the panel call, which was supposed to be a role-play, but they just let me read my document. It was disappointing and dumb. They made me wait another week for the panel, and then ghosted me for about 10 days before giving a weak excuse that they stopped hiring. I should have seen the red flags during the interview. The recruiter praised me excessively, while the interviewers seemed positive but didn't ask common questions like why I'd switch from my current job, what I want to achieve next, or show interest in me. I have proptech experience, which they mentioned most candidates lack. This company seems finished; such an unprofessional hiring process indicates they are either dysfunctional or desperate to hire one specific person without having a good product or the conditions advertised. I did learn how to vet interview processes myself. I usually get jobs through referrals or contacts, but this remote-only startup made things harder to gauge, and I trusted the process, never expecting it to be so bad. Matt Wood, the Sales Director, was extremely unprofessional, and I wouldn't want to work for him. Anna Russell, the recruiter, was also beyond unacceptable. Avoid both of them.

This interview process was really disjointed, took forever (over 2 months for 3 interviews), and felt inconsiderate and frustrating. I spent a lot of time preparing a case study memo for a prompt that wasn't even related to real estate development or Northspyre's product. The recruiter was unhelpful, often ghosting and not replying to my follow-up emails, and generally the whole thing felt unorganized and unprofessional. The interviewers seemed unprepared, disengaged, and insincere. They seem to drag candidates along for months with their fragmented process. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend wasting your time or energy here, no matter how good the company looks from the outside.

The interview process was smooth. The hiring team was really responsive and gave good info. They provided immediate feedback during the interviews. While professional, the hiring team was also easy to talk to. The focus was more on open-ended questions about your perspective rather than just going through your resume point by point.
