First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Northspyre.
Account Executive
They made me do a lot of hoops, interview with 2 recruiters, then enablement, then sales director, twice, with 2 weeks in-between, then again a panel where only 2 of the same people showed up. I had to sign an NDA before the panel, and they gave me a big assignment. The instructions for the assignment were not followed during the panel call, which was supposed to be a role-play, but they just let me read my document. It was disappointing and dumb. They made me wait another week for the panel, and then ghosted me for about 10 days before giving a weak excuse that they stopped hiring. I should have seen the red flags during the interview. The recruiter praised me excessively, while the interviewers seemed positive but didn't ask common questions like why I'd switch from my current job, what I want to achieve next, or show interest in me. I have proptech experience, which they mentioned most candidates lack. This company seems finished; such an unprofessional hiring process indicates they are either dysfunctional or desperate to hire one specific person without having a good product or the conditions advertised. I did learn how to vet interview processes myself. I usually get jobs through referrals or contacts, but this remote-only startup made things harder to gauge, and I trusted the process, never expecting it to be so bad. Matt Wood, the Sales Director, was extremely unprofessional, and I wouldn't want to work for him. Anna Russell, the recruiter, was also beyond unacceptable. Avoid both of them.
- How do you decide which Ideal Customer Profile to reach out to first?
Account Executive
This was a completely unprofessional, disrespectful, and inconsiderate process. They are clearly okay with wasting hours of your time then ghosting you. I applied for the AE role and was contacted by the recruiter to set up a screening call. The interview process from there would be 2 more individual interviews then one with a panel. The 2nd interview went well and I had the final individual interview a few days later. The final interviewer was clearly uninterested in even talking to me, and didn't even know what role I was interviewing for until I informed them. It was pretty clear that it didn't really matter what I said or did in that interview, I wasn't taken seriously as a candidate from the start. I've since had no response from the recruiter on my attempts to follow up. Given what others have said in the reviews, I don't anticipate hearing anything further. So the whole process was a complete waste of my time.
- Why are you interested in Northspyre?
Account Executive
First, I spoke with a friendly recruitment specialist who chatted about the job and asked a "tell me about a time" question. Next, I'm scheduled to interview with the CEO.
