Software Engineer
So I had a system design interview first, and that went really well. Then I had a project presentation interview, and that also seemed to have gone well. It was confusing though, because even though I was really overqualified and did well in the interviews, they didn't move forward with me. I guess they hired someone even more amazing, but then weeks later, the same job is posted again with over 700 applicants. This company keeps refreshing postings for jobs with tons of applicants, so it doesn't seem like they're actually hiring and might be doing market research. The whole process took about a month.

- What is the minimum number of guesses needed to find a number between 1 and 100?
- Describe how you would design a URL shortening service.
Software Engineer
The overall experience was disorganized with poor communication. It took three months. The coding challenge was easy but the team was unsure about the assignment and their expectations. A major concern was the apparent lack of emphasis on testing, suggesting speed was prioritized over quality, which makes me wonder about developer career growth here.
- Can you tell me about your previous projects?
