First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Noom.
Software Engineer
Met with HR first, it was a good experience. The recruiter was friendly and gave useful advice and information. After that, there were two technical interviews. I feel like I showed good knowledge of OOP and DSA. Unfortunately, I didn't get an offer in the end.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Please share some of your previous experiences.
- Tell me about some of the projects listed on your resume.
Product Manager
It was a many-step process. First, a recruiter screen. Then, a call with the hiring manager. After that, a live product case, followed by team interviews. There was another interview with the hiring manager and a final meeting with the CPO. The recruiter was nice and knew their stuff. But, I got some bad vibes about the team culture from the hiring manager, so I decided not to continue.
- Why are you interested in Noom?
- What are your career aspirations for your next position?
- Can you tell me about your experience and how it aligns with the requirements of this position?
Quality Assurance Engineer
I had 2 interviews scheduled according my and theirs availability which was nice. The interviews were almost identical asking different questions about my current experience and working processes and also I needed to comment and explain my approach on the tasks they initially gave me to complete(before the interview there is a stage with few qa tasks . I felt comfortable during the sessions. I must say I did not prepare myself enough due to other work commitments.
- Can you outline your strategy for testing and elaborate on the test cases you have created in the past?
- Could you discuss your approach to the initial QA tasks provided before the interview?
Virtual Health Coach
The interview involved a series of tests where I had to do mock client conversations to see if I could properly address client problems and objectives. It was really particular about how I talked to the mock clients. For example, I couldn't be too pushy with a mock client who just wanted to eat sweets at work parties and not cut out soda. They didn't like that I wasn't just letting the client keep habits that were preventing them from reaching their goals, even though I was coaching small changes and cutting back on one thing at a time, while still allowing cheat days or meals for parties and eating out.
- What would you advise a client who is having difficulty meeting their daily habit targets?
