Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Noom.
Recruiting Coordinator
The interviews were pretty standard except for the last one. In the final interview, they asked me these really vague, philosophical questions that didn't seem to have anything to do with the job. The person interviewing me was really harsh and not welcoming at all, which felt like a red flag.
- Tell me about your background and experience.
- Describe your experience collaborating with stakeholders.
- How have you handled working with difficult or unresponsive coworkers in the past?
Recruiter
It was nice to meet the team but you likely won't get any feedback from the VP of recruiting if he's the hiring manager and doesn't want to continue the process with you. I get it, everyone is busy but it's really unprofessional after you've invested time to prepare and interview with them. That experience with him left a bad taste in my mouth about the company.
- What motivates your interest in this position?
Senior Technical Recruiter
had a preliminary one hour recruiter phone screen with the VP of Talent. It was to talk about work experience and why I was actively searching for a role. Not sure what the next steps were because it was clear that the interviewer had already made the decision to not move forward with me.
- Can you tell me about your background and experience?
- What prompted your decision to leave a hypergrowth startup during its peak and join another one?
- Can you elaborate on the reasons for leaving your previous company, especially given the circumstances?
