The interview started with me getting some coaching tips and info on what my mock client ate. Then, there was a 10-minute video interview, followed by a one-hour mock coaching session via Google Docs. The mock client didn't ask me any questions, but I was expected to lead the hour-long conversation as a 'Coach' by asking questions. This wasn't mentioned in any emails, so I felt totally unprepared. I know health and fitness really well and I'm friendly, but I didn't get the job because Noom didn't prepare me well. It was super disappointing. So, if you're getting ready for this, you need to have your questions and plan all set beforehand. The interviewers won't guide you at all. You have to take charge and anticipate responses like 'ok' and 'thanks' from the mock client.

I applied and completed a quick personality test online, and was contacted a few days later to take another, open-ended questions test. I was also asked to submit a one-minute video answer. A couple of days later, I received a rejection email. I'm familiar with the coaching techniques they use so I tend to think it may have been the video submission. I am in my fifties and most of the employees on their website appear to be in their twenties and thirties, so that may be the work culture they are dedicated to. I am always wary of a company that asks for a video or photo right off the bat because it suggests they may be putting more emphasis on age and appearance than they are supposed to.

The process was pretty straightforward to understand my goals and experience. Had a quick phone interview then an on-site interview with people on the team. It was a pretty straightforward interview. I had the chance to meet different people in the organization and understand what they are trying to accomplish. I'd recommend this company since they're growing fast.
