I only spoke with the Sr. Talent Acquisition Advisor from Detroit, Michigan. I was upset because she was rude when she laughed at my salary expectations. I would have preferred a nicer and more professional conversation. Her LinkedIn profile says she cultivated an exceptional candidate experience, but I disagree. My experience was not exceptional.

Behavioral Technical

Just a heads up for other candidates, I interviewed with this company in April and it was super long! First, there was an HR screen, then a full hour of just behavioral questions. After that, a technical round that actually ran over the scheduled time. I did great and passed all of them. The HR person said I'd get an offer, but then they suddenly put the position on hold for like 4 months. I'd already moved on. Then, the HR reached out again saying they had multiple openings and mentioned they hired someone else last time – which is weird since they put me on hold! Now, after they contacted me again, they've put me on hold *again*. So, people should really think twice about this company, I don't think they respect candidates' time.

So, a recruiter from Nexient reached out on LinkedIn about a Cloud Engineer role with a salary range of $100-140K, which sounded interesting. We scheduled a call, but they actually missed the initial time and rescheduled for an hour later, which was a bit of an odd start. During the call, they asked about my salary expectations. When I brought up the $100-140K range they initially messaged, the conversation completely shifted. The recruiter spent the rest of the time explaining that the initial range was a mistake and that the actual range was more like $75-95K. I'm not sure if it was a real error, but I'd be cautious about any salary figures they provide upfront.

Behavioral Technical Coding

So the interview kicked off with a call from a technical recruiter. It was basically a screening interview where they asked about my past experience and to rate myself out of 10 in front-end development. After that, I was told there'd be a coding test on HackerRank, which had two programming questions and four multiple-choice questions. Three days later, the recruiter called me in for a physical interview. This had two parts: a technical round focusing on JavaScript, CSS, HTML, networking, logic, and some coding challenges, lasting about an hour, followed by a 20-minute HR interview. The interviewers were really friendly, and it was a great conversation. They said they'd let me know their decision in a couple of weeks, but I actually got an offer within a week, which I accepted.
