The process was supposed to be good, but it was a mess. 5 rounds for an entry-level role, which took a whole month, plus 2 HR rounds, 2 technical rounds, and 1 managerial round. The entire thing dragged on for 4 months, felt like I was ghosted. They used whiteboard coding and practical exercises like LeetCode problems. The interviews themselves were okay, and the interviewers were professional. They wanted a background check before any offer, which is a red flag. I got the 'greenlight,' only to get a generic rejection email on Friday afternoon, 10 minutes before closing time, leaving me with a terrible weekend after 5 rounds and 4 months.

It was a 3-round interview, with 2 technical rounds and 1 managerial round. Each round was about an hour or more. The first technical round started with basic PL/SQL concepts and moved to advanced topics like indexes, tuning, procedures, exception handling, cursors, and hierarchical queries, focusing more on conceptual understanding than exact syntax. The second technical round, held 5 days later, was similar to the first and covered questions I missed previously. It also included some basic SQL queries and a task to write a procedure based on a given scenario. The managerial round involved discussions about my projects, followed by a mix of situational and technical questions, and finally, salary expectations.

I remembered I had interviewed with this company a few months back for a Director, Market Strategy role, which is still posted on their careers site. I reapplied through their corporate website and was contacted by a talent acquisition specialist for a Zoom screen interview. The conversation was good, and the interviewer said they would get back to me after speaking with the hiring manager. Within a few days, I received feedback that I was not selected to proceed, which I respect. It's worth noting the job is still active, which contradicts the interviewer's statement that they were looking to fill it soon (which was months ago). This suggests indecisiveness or a paused requisition. I'm sharing this in case others interview for this role and wonder why it hasn't been staffed yet.

So, there were 3 tech rounds and then 1 HM round. The third tech round was actually taken by the HM SP. That's when I first noticed his bad attitude and got a sense of their work culture from the questions he asked. I cleared that round, and then for the fourth HM round, SP was the interviewer again. I forgot the name of some tool, and he just started yelling and acting unprofessionally. I stayed calm, even though I already had an offer from a better place. It's crazy that even someone junior like me knows how to talk to people, but someone so experienced and senior doesn't know how to behave. Anyway, I didn't get through the HM round. I told the recruiter about the HM's attitude and that I'd leave a review on Glassdoor. The recruiter acted like it was no big deal. Later, I found out from a friend that this company's culture is really bad. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone, especially if SP is the HM.
