It was super simple and clear. They were upfront about the kind of candidate they were looking for to fill the role. No surprises with the questions. Overall, it was a good experience and I feel like NFM is a solid employer.

The interview process was simple and laid back. It was very straight forward, I met with recruiter, then I met with the hiring manager and then I had a second round interview with the hiring manager. Very informal and relaxed, easy to prepare for.

Behavioral Technical Case

So I interviewed for a Data Scientist III role at Nebraska Furniture Mart. It was a 3-round process. First, there was an HR screening where we talked about my resume, background, and if I was a good fit. Then, the second interview was with a Data Scientist II and the Manager of Data Analytics. We talked more about my resume, projects, and technical skills, like the tools I've used, how I solve problems, and managing projects. The last interview was with the Lead Data Scientist and was super technical, focusing on models I built, methods I used, and how I handled data challenges. A weird thing though, after the final interview they told me they needed someone with strong marketing experience, which they never mentioned before. It felt like a bait and switch, and they should have been upfront about that requirement.
