First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MuteSix.
Director
The interview process was pretty straightforward. It consisted of three video interviews. First, I spoke with the hiring manager, then with two more senior leaders. I really liked that it was a conversation about my background, the opportunity, their vision for the role, and what they see me bringing to the table. It was refreshing, really. I got an offer within two weeks. The onboarding experience with dentsu x MuteSix was pretty seamless.

Paid Search Campaign Manager
The first interview was a general chat about the company and my previous experience. Then I had an interview with the manager I'd be reporting to. There was a possibility of a third interview to go over a strategy I had to build, but they decided it wasn't needed. The strategy took more time than it was hard. I had to create a search campaign, shopping campaign, display campaign, YouTube campaign, and also suggest CRO for the homepage and a new landing page idea. It was a lot of work but that's pretty standard for this job when onboarding new clients. The recruiter initially sent over old info about a signing bonus, which wasn't actually a thing, but that's okay. The whole thing took about 2-3 weeks because the hiring manager and recruiter were both out of office for a bit. All the interviews were nice, and I liked getting to know the recruiter and manager.
- Can you describe your typical daily tasks?
- What industries have your clients been in?
- What's the average ad spend you've managed?
Paid Social Campaign Manager
The interview process involved three rounds. There was an assignment given right before the third interview. I initially applied for a different role but was asked to interview for this one instead. The last two interviews were conducted by the same two people. The assignment was quite rigorous given that it would just be reviewed and might not lead to an offer. I was asked to create a strategy and copy, which required a significant amount of time and effort.
- Could you tell me about the budgets you have managed previously?
Sales Development Representative
First call was with the head recruiter at MuteSix, where I was asked basic behavioral questions. Then, I had a second interview with the VP of sales and the CRO. The next day, the head recruiter emailed me asking how the interview went. After my reply, she mentioned I'd get feedback in about 3 to 4 days. I never heard back from MuteSix, so I followed up with the recruiter. She told me I would have an answer that day, and then I never heard from them again. I decided it wasn't worth pursuing further, so I left it, but I feel like they wasted both my time and theirs.
