Accounting Manager
I was called for an interview after following up on my application. It was with 2 people, the residential controller and someone else who didn't introduce herself. It lasted less than 50 mins. They both seemed uninterested and disengaged, not warm at all, so it was hard to tell if they were serious about my application. One of them turned off her screen mid-response, then turned it back on and laughed at something else for the rest of my answer. Then the other interviewer told me not to give such detailed answers, and the first one sarcastically said thanks for the 'detailed response'. It felt unclear and a bit unprofessional. I tried to connect my background to the role's goals, as described by the controller, and said I was excited to join the team, but they didn't seem interested. They mentioned an accounting skills assessment at the start and again during the interview, but never did it, even though we had about 15 minutes left. I applied because I liked the company's values and culture, but this interview didn't match, so I'm unsure about the company's culture, team, and environment. I was offered a lateral role with the VP but declined. I still appreciate the opportunity and talking with the VP, and wish them well.

SVP of Human Resources
The interview process was alright, with over 5 interviews spanning roughly 5 weeks. I met with everyone on the C-suite except the CEO. The discussions weren't formal but felt friendly overall. They were often repetitive, with only one interview really focusing on my skills and experience for the role. Other chats felt one-sided, making it tough to highlight my background. It was important to connect with the various leaders since they each had different expectations for the role. This also gave the impression that leadership wasn't fully aligned on what success looks like for this position or who would be a good fit. It might not be the reality, but that's how it felt as a candidate. It was an average experience overall, but it became disappointing when I was told I was in the final round, only for the team to later withdraw their interest with minimal communication for weeks. At this executive level, this kind of withdrawal and communication, along with a generic rejection email, doesn't provide a great candidate experience. Everyone was friendly, and I wish them well, but I'd suggest better structure and alignment for positions and interviews, especially for leadership roles. It's fine to communicate a lack of fit quickly and respectfully.
- Can you tell me about the largest employee population you've managed?
Property Manager
The regional manager was very communicative and flexible in working out a time and place to meet with me for the interview. She was based out of a city a good 30 minutes from where I was located and offered to come to me. During our interview she spent some time not only asking questions related to the workplace and professional experience but also about myself and what I wanted from the available position. It was good to know that my expectations were valued from this company.
- Can you give examples of how you've managed disagreements with residents?
- How have you dealt with conflicts concerning vendors?
- Describe situations where you had to resolve conflicts with employees.
Regional Service Manager
The whole hiring process, including when they got back to me and how long it took, was pretty drawn out. I applied on August 4th, and didn't get an offer until October 5th. People interviewing took their sweet time responding, sometimes up to two weeks after the recruiter reached out. But, the staff at Mission Rock were nice and made the interviews feel relaxed. They did this evaluation screening and testing that seemed to drag on and didn't really seem useful so early in the process.
- Can you describe your experience with Project Management, Contractor control, and organization?
