Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mission Rock Residential.
Property Manager
I applied online for a Property Manager job in Frederick, MD. Shannon Argo, the recruiter, got my resume and wanted to set up an interview. I thought it was for a PM role, but the questions she asked made me realize it was for a Leasing position. I didn't expect to hear back after that. Then, a few weeks later, Shannon reached out again, asking if I was still looking for a job because the Leasing Manager position was opening up. I then scheduled a quick phone chat with Shannon about the role, followed by another phone interview with Darcy. Things moved really fast after that!

Property Manager
The regional manager was very communicative and flexible in working out a time and place to meet with me for the interview. She was based out of a city a good 30 minutes from where I was located and offered to come to me. During our interview she spent some time not only asking questions related to the workplace and professional experience but also about myself and what I wanted from the available position. It was good to know that my expectations were valued from this company.
- Can you give examples of how you've managed disagreements with residents?
- How have you dealt with conflicts concerning vendors?
- Describe situations where you had to resolve conflicts with employees.
Property Manager
The interview process started with a phone screening. After that, I had an in-person interview with the Regional Manager, which was then followed by an interview with the Executive Vice President. The next week, the Regional Manager emailed to express the company's interest. A week later, we spoke again, and I received a verbal offer. This was followed by an offer letter and instructions for a background check and drug screen.
