The interview was pretty standard and had a few steps. First, I had a call with HR to talk about my background and why I was interested in this job. After that, I met with the supervisor, and they asked me more detailed questions about my affiliate marketing experience and how I've managed different marketing tasks. Then I interviewed with the marketing director where we talked more about the role and how my skills fit what the company is looking for. Lastly, I had a quick chat with some team members to see how they work together. It all felt very professional and went smoothly, and they kept in touch during the whole thing.

It was a pretty standard interview process for a Product Manager role. I talked to the hiring manager first. Then I had more interviews with people from different teams. There was also a hands-on case study that was pretty interesting and tested my product sense. Recruiting kept me in the loop the whole time, and everything felt smooth from the start all the way to the offer.

I interviewed with HR, then was given a project to complete before meeting anyone on the hiring team. I finished the project, which took hours, only to be told the hiring manager felt it wasn't testing the right skills and asked if I'd mind doing a second project. This was all before meeting anyone besides HR. I passed. They seemed unsure of what they were looking for, and the disorganization and disrespect for a candidate's time was very disappointing. They should have figured out the job and its main requirements before asking for time-consuming projects. It didn't seem like a good place to work. Such a great brand, but a terrible interview experience.

This process was way too long and bloated. I had two 30-minute interviews initially, then got an interview assignment that took me 5 hours to complete (it was 4 parts, each could be its own assignment). They then invited me to a 3rd interview, which I thought would be the last, where I'd meet 5 people for 30 minutes each. I had already put in 9 hours by then. They got back to me a week or two later saying they wanted a 4th interview, and possibly a 5th. This felt like they were making things up as they went along and was a huge waste of my time. In the 4th interview, I was asked questions I'd already answered. I didn't understand the point of the previous interviews and the assignment. I also got mixed signals about the company culture; while people said it was collaborative, the interview process suggested decisions were heavily top-down, needing CEO approval. Ultimately, they rejected me after I invested almost 10 hours. I felt I did well in the earlier stages and proved my capabilities. However, the interviewer in the final round didn't like some of my answers, and since they were a senior person, my application was rejected. Minted might think this lengthy process shows they are selective, but it likely just drives away good candidates and makes them look indecisive, which they admitted is true since it's a top-down environment. Job seekers, heed the warnings in previous reviews; they are accurate. Watch out for red flags.
