First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Maxim Healthcare.
Healthcare Recruiter
Applied online, had a recruiter phone screen, then went to the office for an interview. The hiring manager seemed to like me and said she'd get back to me about scheduling a team meeting and a 'pit sit' session. She made it sound like I was moving on, but then I never heard anything back. Total ghosting. Not a professional company. Weird thing is they said business professional attire but people were in sweats.
- Can you tell me about your sales experience?
Client Coordinator
I applied for the Client Coordinator role and went through several stages over a month. It included an in-person visit where I met and shadowed the team. They seemed to really like me; we had a good chat, I was at the office for over an hour, and I met everyone there. However, this company just ghosts candidates instead of telling them they didn't get the job. It was disappointing and frustrating not to hear back after meeting in person.
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
Recruiter
The interviewer mentioned that she was surprised I had heard good things about the company, given the bad reviews. I went through a phone screening, an in-person interview, and then came back for a shadow. I was told no background check was needed and it was entry-level, but they ended up selecting someone with more experience. While I understand companies must do what's best for them, going through that many interview rounds for what was emphasized as entry-level wasn't a good use of anyone's time.
- What makes you want this job?
Licensed Practical Nurse
Got a call back within a day or two. Had some quick questions over the phone first, then they scheduled an interview. The interview itself was nice. If you're a new grad without prior nursing experience, they offer some hands-on training using a simulation room with actual equipment and a teach-back method to make sure you feel ready.
- Do you have experience in homecare?
- Have you worked with children before?
- Are you experienced with G-tubes, trachs, and vents?
