First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MANTL.
Senior Implementation Manager
after applying I got an initial call from HR for a screening. Then I interviewed with the hiring manager, followed by a panel interview, and then an exec interview. Once it was clear I was getting an offer, I got to talk more about the role with HR and the hiring manager until finally an offer was extended. The team was super flexible in finding times that worked, the process was fast, and they were willing to work with me on my needs.
- Can you share your experience that is relevant to this position?
- Can you share your experience in the relevant industry?
Product Manager
The interview process took about 4 hours total with different team members. I also put in about 3-4 hours of prep time for the different parts. The first call was pretty standard, just to confirm the role and salary expectations. Then I talked with the VP of Product about my background, if I'd fit the company culture, and my past work. After that, I met with the teams I'd be working with: Engineering, Project Management, Design, and other Product Managers. This was split into three one-hour sessions. The final part involved a prompt they gave me beforehand and my prepared response.
- Can you describe your decision-making process and how you'd approach decisions here?
- We'd like to hear about your past experiences and how you've handled similar situations.
- Could you outline your methodology for tackling this problem?
Software Engineer
It was a good and streamlined experience overall. Everyone was patient and really took their time to answer all my questions. The whole process had three steps: first, a call with the recruiter to discuss work experience and the position; second, a technical screen with an engineer on the team you're interviewing for that involved one question; and third, an 'on-site' call with multiple rounds with engineers, the hiring manager, and the VP.
- Asked questions about string manipulation.
- Asked questions about simple data structures.
- Was asked to build SQL tables given a design doc.
Accounting Manager
It started with a chat with HR, and then I moved on to the next round. The current Head of Finance told me they'd be giving a pop quiz at some point. They mentioned that if you're not good at those, you won't get the job. It seems like a tactic to make themselves look superior and stress out candidates, which isn't really reflective of the job of producing financials and numbers. I feel like candidates can do better than this. Also, their reviews section is suspiciously all positive; it makes you wonder if they prod employees to post good reviews to hide actual issues, like high-ranking employees using childish, elitist tactics in interviews. It's a bad strategy and a sign of someone unfit for their role.
- Tell me about your experience.
- What are your thoughts about the company?
- A pop quiz was given.
