Before diving in, it's good to go over some basics. You know, like brushing up on math, language, and logic skills. Basically, make sure you can do simple calculations, get what you read, and figure stuff out. Also, work on your critical thinking. Play some games, solve puzzles, or do logic problems. Try to make choices even when you don't have all the facts, so you get better at figuring things out when they're new.
