I saw a notification that Longhorn Steakhouse in Chattanooga was hiring bartenders. I got called in for an interview, and before the manager started, he told me, 'we don't really hire bartenders right away, they have to start as servers.' It was very misleading since the company said they were looking for bartenders. These chain restaurants shouldn't waste people's time. They don't cover my gas or my time. Also, the hostess had me sit at a table with other customers while the manager interviewed me. He wasn't speaking clearly or loudly, and I couldn't hear him well over the loud music and the noise from other customers. It was really unprofessional.

It was easy and friendly, very understanding. I think that if you prepare and follow the most common questions that interviews ask, you will do just fine. I would say to do your research, do not be nervous, and always approach the interview process as if it was a simple conversation with another individual. The worst thing you can do is come to an interview nervous and not make a good impression.
