So, the Lido Learning SDE Intern interview process had a few rounds. Round 1 involved two coding questions: one was a variation of finding an element in a sorted array, and the other was an SQL query to find the second highest salary per department. Round 2 was more technical, asking about the internal workings of HashMap and ArrayList (dynamic array), plus a question about my projects. The final round was with a Manager and HR, where they asked about HashMap working and collisions again, a string manipulation question to break a paragraph into strings based on line breaks, and why I'm interested in Lido Learning. I got selected for the SDE Intern role!

Behavioral Presentation

The company reached out to me. Our initial call covered salary expectations. I stated my minimum requirement, and both HR and the Content Head agreed it was within their budget. I proceeded with the interview process, completing a work module as a test and presenting long-term strategies. A month later, HR called to say I was selected and offered a salary below my minimum. They claimed this required a meeting with their CEO. I was disappointed, as I'd confirmed my expectations twice earlier and felt misled, potentially impacting my scheduling and decision to proceed. I questioned if it was miscommunication or intentional. I asked if they could offer more than their stated amount. They said they'd discuss and call back, but weeks passed with no response. They also gave me another vague update about my job location instead of the offer letter. I later discovered my application wasn't shortlisted on the job board after the salary discussion. It's unclear why they provided false information. I don't trust this company; they seem to exploit candidate knowledge.
