First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LaserAway.
Registered Nurse
I had two interviews. The first was with a recruiter and the second was on Google Meet with two regional managers. The second interview felt messy and not well-planned. One manager seemed out of it and didn't even know which job I applied for. She asked a bunch of questions really fast without much response, then said she had to leave to train someone. The other manager showed up 30 minutes late and didn't say anything about it or introduce herself. She asked a lot of the same questions we already went over. The whole thing lasted about 45 minutes. Honestly, I'm glad I didn't get the job because the interview really showed me how disorganized and inconsistent they are.
- Can you tell me about yourself and your motivation for getting into aesthetics?
- What specifically about Laseraway interests you?
- How do you manage a high-volume workload?
Location Director
The whole interview experience from beginning to end was really smooth and informative. It was really comforting, which is super helpful when you're looking for a new job. It also gave me a good sense of the company culture because I feel like the interview process is a preview of how they'll treat you as an employee. Everyone I met with was really thorough in the information they gave me about the job and the company. They also made sure I had time to ask my questions to figure out if it was the right fit for me.
- Can you share your experience within the industry?
- Describe how you would manage certain situations that may arise in this position.
Nurse Practitioner
I applied on Indeed and got an email to schedule a phone call two days later. The phone call was about thirty minutes. The interviewer talked about the role, training, and salary. Then, a video interview with the senior VP was set up for the next week. It was 40 minutes long. She explained the role and what it's like to work there, then asked me some questions about myself and what I'd do in various situations.
- How is your time management?
- Tell me about your time management skills.
- What would you do in different situations?
PCC
I took this job despite hearing bad things about the company culture and sales being taken, thinking it was just rumors. They weren't. You meet with 1-2 interviewers who really dig into your sales background and ask if you're prepared for a role with tough sales quotas (50k monthly). You can sense the negative vibe and 'mean girl' attitude that goes from leadership down to you, the PCC. Given the low pay and talk of stolen commissions, it didn't feel worth it.
- Can you tell me about your past sales targets and whether you achieved them?
- What strategies do you use to maintain sales motivation during challenging periods?
