I had three interviews with three different people, all very kind. First was the recruiter, second the direct manager, third the regional sales director. Each interview was about 30 minutes long & focused on background and sales experience heavily.

So I had a phone interview first, and then I went in to meet the location manager. It was pretty straightforward. They asked all the typical interview questions you'd expect. I think it took less than 20 minutes.

First, there was a phone call to vet me, then an in-person interview. After the 1:1, the hiring manager had me shadow current sales consultants for an hour. It was pretty unhelpful, as the only person who was somewhat helpful was new herself. The others were unfriendly and seemed annoyed I was there listening and asking questions. No real shadowing or direction was given. I did learn their sales system is a very unorganized round-robin approach where all leads/client upsells are shared, which makes it hard to meet quotas. For instance, while I was there, one sales consultant sold an existing client something that was initially sold by another sales consultant who wasn't there and they were debating splitting the commission. This round-robin approach leads to issues with sales ownership, confusion, mistrust, and a decline in team spirit and support. I declined the position due to this and the unfriendly environment.
