The recruiter contacted me on my personal phone, which was odd. The first interview was with the manager via Teams, and she was in her pajamas. I thought I did well, and advanced to the final interview with the director. It was clear the company was mismanaged, especially since the role was a contract position. During the manager interview, I felt like I was being shamed for the university I attended. After that, I never heard back, and it took the recruiter a month to send a standard automated rejection email. I'd advise others to avoid this.

You’ll hear back from a recruiter via email if you’re selected for an interview. The interview is usually with the manager you’d be reporting to if hired, and it’s a pretty chill conversation. They’ll ask you to introduce yourself and talk about how you handle tough situations. The whole thing was about 15 minutes, even though 30 minutes was scheduled in Webex.

I've interviewed for a few director roles. One time, the hiring manager didn't show up, so two managers in pajamas interviewed me. They asked stuff only someone already at LA Care would know. In another panel interview via Zoom, one person wouldn't turn on their camera, and another was clearly busy and didn't ask anything. My thank-you emails after also went unanswered. LA Care's interview process seems all over the place and maybe geared towards less qualified people.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

The internal recruiter reached out and set up a meeting with the hiring manager quickly. The interview started friendly but took a bad turn within 30 seconds. It was also disrespectful being the only one with a webcam on. I gave a summary of my background and experience as a Senior analyst, which the HM seemed unaware of. Then she switched topics to how I would solve a case she already knew the answer to. Instead of assessing my problem-solving approach, she got irritated. I could easily handle the required tech skills like pulling and analyzing data, visualizing it in Tableau, and applying statistics for insights. I'm not upset about it; it's a good thing I won't be working for this person.

  • What are the reasons for an increase in healthcare costs?
  • Could you walk me through your experience as a Senior Analyst?
  • How would you approach this particular case study?
