First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at L.A. Care Health Plan.
Program Manager
First, a recruiter checked my availability for interviews, and they gave me plenty of advance notice. Because of Covid, all the interviews were conducted over WebEx video calls. The interviews started on time and usually lasted about an hour. It was a pretty good experience. I had a series of interviews with the management team who are responsible for making sure programs at the health plan run smoothly.
- Can you tell me about a recent or memorable program you managed?
- How do you handle program risk?
Program Manager
I had a panel interview. The panel members talked about what they do on the team. Then I had to give a presentation about CalAIM. After that, they asked me questions about parts of my presentation that were relevant to the job I was interviewing for.
- Could you describe the types and sizes of audiences you have presented to?
- Have you conducted presentations virtually?
- Have you conducted presentations in person?
Program Manager
The interview process was straightforward and moved quickly with the Talent Acquisition team. The team I spoke with was great to work with. We spent most of the time discussing my background and what to expect, leaving minimal time for my own questions.
- Can you describe your past experience managing healthcare programs?
