they outsource most of the admin/corporate work through an agency and hire on contract basis so they don't get benefits and are underpaid. The interview process is incredibly disorganized and they will string you along multiple rounds and ghost you even if you follow up, which is odd for a firm of this size

A headhunter reached out to me first. Then I had an interview in French with a Principal on the team. It was pretty informal, mostly behavioral stuff. They asked about my interest in the firm, private markets, and career goals. The role involves helping with fundraising for institutions in France, Benelux, Spain, and Italy, but they were really after someone with a stronger French background since France is the biggest market there.

After an initial recruiter call, the process moved pretty quickly to the first round. I interviewed for both the investment team and the portfolio management team, though in different years. For the investment team, it involved two 45-minute 1-on-1 meetings with principals and two more 45-minute meetings with two other senior members of the team. The portfolio management team interview process started with an onsite meeting with two associates, followed by a second round with another senior member, then onsite model tests, and finally a last round with senior members and HR.

I applied online and then reached out directly to the MD for the practice on LinkedIn. Despite getting an automated rejection, I was invited to interview shortly after. The recruiter I spoke with was quite dismissive and uninterested, asking only basic questions like my motivations for applying. She didn't follow up, and after I emailed her a week later, she sent a 'Sorry, but' rejection citing a 'competitive pool'.
