It was a pretty straightforward in-person interview. They asked me some questions about how I'd stay calm and handle different scenarios. Right after that, I went to a classroom to observe and then help out. The teachers there showed me how the room operated and watched how I worked with the kids. Finally, I had to show what I learned from the experience.

The interview felt pretty casual and friendly, but still professional. The manager was nice and referred me to another location since they didn't have the hours I was looking for. They offered me the job and I passed the background check and fingerprinting. I ended up declining the offer though because I didn't want to get more vaccines and the pay was quite low, although it's standard for the industry.

It was a really drawn-out process, like 2 months long. In the end, they told me they went with an internal candidate, which was disappointing. But honestly, I'm glad I didn't get the job because I found a much better opportunity with better pay and benefits. The whole interview thing shouldn't take more than two weeks.
