First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at KinderCare Learning Centers.
District Manager
The interview process took 2 months from application to final interview. I interviewed 8 times and didn't get an offer. It seemed like they already had someone else in mind for the job by the final interview since the interviewer wasn't invested. 2 months is way too long to make someone go through so many steps.
- What makes you want to join this company?
District Manager
I had a phone chat with the recruiter, then spoke with two RVPs. They were all really nice, answered everything I asked, and the whole thing moved pretty fast. Seems like a great place to work.
- It was a really typical behavioral interview, and we talked a lot about the company and the job itself.
District Manager
Got contacted by a recruiter for a phone interview that lasted almost an hour. It went really well, and she knew a lot about the company. We talked about my background and skills, and it ended on a good note, expecting me to move on to more phone interviews. She mentioned they can be slow to hire and to reach out if I didn't hear back in a week. It's been over five weeks, and I've followed up a few times but never got a response. I was pretty bummed because during the interview, they said my background was a perfect match for what they usually hire successfully. It would've been nice to at least get a 'no' instead of silence.
- How would you apply your business/retail experience from managing product-focused stores to a similar model, but where child well-being is the main priority?
