First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kepler Group.
Campaign Operations Specialist
First, there was a phone call in English with HR where we talked about myself, salary expectations, and other general things. Then, there were 3 interviews: one with the Director, one with someone technical from the team, and one with the hiring manager from Costa Rica. The Director asked the usual questions like 'tell me about yourself,' 'why do you want to work here,' and 'strengths and weaknesses.' In the next interview, a colleague showed me an ad and I had to point out spelling mistakes or if it looked pixelated. They also showed me a media plan and I had to find errors, like if it was missing a title or a final date. Then, I was shown an Excel sheet, similar to the ad review, where I had to check if the data in the cells below matched the titles above and point out any discrepancies. Finally, the hiring manager, who might interview in English or Spanish (depending on their mood :v), asked behavioral questions like which animal I identify with and how I help my colleagues.
- Which animal do you most identify with, and could you explain your reasoning?
Digital Marketing Analyst
The interview process started with a 30-minute video call with HR, who was very friendly. Then, there was a second 30-minute video call with two analysts, where similar questions to the first stage were asked. The final stage was a 1-hour in-person interview at their office with two senior employees. This included a presentation on programmatic advertising and a data analysis task, with questions asked about both after presentation. They also asked more questions about my work preferences and how I like to be supported, which made Kepler seem like a supportive place for early-career individuals. There was a minor hiccup with check-in at the office reception, requiring an email to confirm my arrival. Almost a week after the final interview, I received an automated rejection email without any feedback. My attempt to request feedback was met with an automatic reply stating I couldn't contact that email address anymore, which felt like my email was blocked after rejection. This experience contradicted my initial positive impression of Kepler as a supportive environment for early-career professionals.
- How do you prefer to receive support at work?
Campaign Manager
So I did 4 interviews for this Campaign Manager job. First was a quick chat with HR, which was alright. Then I had an interview with two people. After that, there was a long wait, like a month. Then I was told to prepare a post-campaign brief for another interview with two people. Another month passed, and I got told I was moving on to the final round with a VP. That went fine, but then after another month and a half, and after I asked for updates twice, I got a rejection email saying I didn't have enough experience. It felt like a total waste of time, especially with the lack of communication. I mean, if I got through two rounds with colleagues/managers, wasn't my experience enough? I wouldn't suggest applying here.
- Can you tell me about your past work experience?
- Could you discuss a post-campaign brief with us?
- We have some behavioral questions regarding your work experience.
Analyst
So, the first interview was this super thorough HR call. They spent ages talking about the company's history, how it's structured, the culture, clients, and how they handled things during and after covid. It was all before I even said anything about myself, which felt pretty cool, like they valued me. I heard back super fast, like 2-3 hours later. Then, I had a 20-minute phone chat with the department manager. They asked more relevant questions and actually went over the company structure again, but by then I was already really clued in. Got another update the same day, maybe 5-6 hours later. The big one was the third stage, which felt like a full day. It wasn't 8 hours straight, but more like four interviews spread out, and you're prepping for the next one in between. First was a 40-minute case study, then a 20-minute data translation task, followed by a 5-minute presentation with 10 minutes of Q&A. The last one was with the department director, lasting about 35 minutes. It was intense but fun, especially the case study. The director was the most approachable person, super friendly, patient, and nice, despite his title. He really knew my background, listened carefully to my answers, and was really encouraging. He even gave me a clear timeline for hearing back. Honestly, I felt so respected and valued again, which made my decision to accept the offer easy. I got the offer 8 days (4 business days) after that final interview. The whole thing took about two weeks, and it was pretty efficient overall.
- Could you explain your interest in this specific role and in Kepler?
- What are your thoughts on Kepler and this particular position?
- Can you tell me why you're interested in this role and our company, Kepler?
