I had two rounds of interviews for this new B2B Sales Data Analyst Intern position. First, I spoke with HR, and then with the manager. It wasn't super structured because it's a new role they just opened up.

The interview process had three stages. First, there was an online assessment that tested problem-solving abilities and technical knowledge. Next, a technical round involved coding questions and a discussion on system design. Lastly, a face-to-face meeting with the team focused on project experience and how well I'd fit into the company. The whole thing was really well put together, and the interviewers were professional and encouraging the whole time.

The interview went smoothly. They introduced the job scope and were professional, polite, and punctual. They were patient even though I wasn't speaking fluently. They were transparent and explained things well. They were patient again and gave me space to present. I was happy with the interview.

Applied online in early September via Linkedin late at night. The next day, a recruiter reached out asking for my availability. I sent over my timeslots, and after 5 business days, they responded to schedule the initial CV screening call for 7 days later. About 12 days after that first call, I had to chase them for an update on the next steps. 21 business days after the call, they finally got back to me to schedule the next round with the hiring manager, which was set for 2 days later. This interview was a bit strange; instead of diving into my actual skills and knowledge, they really zeroed in on what I'd done and accomplished in my previous/current role. You really had to sell what you'd done because, let's face it, people apply for jobs for a reason, and it's not cool to harp on about something negative instead of checking actual skills or how valuable someone could be. This call was in mid-October, and since then, I've heard absolutely nothing back.
