My application at JYSK went pretty smoothly! First, I had to submit my CV and cover letter online, and I quickly got a confirmation. Then, I had a brief phone call to discuss my motivation and availability. After that, I had a meeting at the store with the manager, where they mainly asked about my experience in retail and customer service. Within a week, I received a positive response. Everything felt well-organized and personal, and I felt welcomed by the team right away!

It started with an online screening, then a zoom interview, and then an in person interview with two people at their physical location. The job was reposted two days after the in person interview and I got the rejection email after it had already been reposted. I get being told no, but it was a long process over the course of a month to be rejected. The store manager asked me "why would you even want to continue working retail?" which is a valid question but overall unprofessional.

Submitted an online application. Went through two online tests: a 10-minute personality test (Behavioral Assessment) and a 12-minute analytical test (Cognitive Assessment). I applied twice and took the tests both times. Honestly, I didn't pass the analytical test, but I was still selected for an in-person interview in Charleroi with an HR representative. The interview went well. They asked about my career path, my top 3 strengths, my top 3 weaknesses, and why I want to work at JYSK. I felt heard and respected during the interview. Then there was a background check and an offer.

I applied for the HR Business Partner role and got an interview. The first one went great and I got good feedback. They told me about the second round, who would be there, and that I'd get a task to prep and present. Because of personal reasons, I couldn't do the second round live, but I offered to take sick leave if an online option wasn't possible. They said they'd call me back in about 10 days. After 12 days with no word, I emailed them, but got no reply. Then, 21 days later, a generic rejection email arrived saying I wasn't chosen. It felt like they didn't even interview me. It was a bummer. I took it seriously, was flexible, and got pretty far. I expected at least a personal reply or some feedback. The lack of follow-up and impersonal email felt super unprofessional. My tip: expect a messy process and mixed communication. Don't assume moving forward means updates or a clear end.
