First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at JYSK.
Store Assistant
I was given a number of interview questions where we had to record and submit our responses within the timeframe given. The questions were based around working at JYSK and the type of situation you might face on a day to day basis.
- What is your motivation for working at JYSK and for this specific role?
Shop Assistant
It was a thorough and detailed interview process. The staff were really nice and supportive, making it less stressful. They started with general questions about competencies, which then led to more complex questions that were more specific to certain situations or asked in a different way than you might expect.
- Can you tell me about your CV?
- I'd like you to talk to some of my colleagues and yourself.
- Tell me about your experience working with others.
Retail Assistant
The interview was an empathetic and well-prepared online Zoom meeting. There were no standard or psychological trick questions. It was a conversation between two people who genuinely wanted to get to know each other. Unfortunately, these managers have since been pushed out of the company and replaced by beginners trained in psychology, in the company's best interest.
- How do you deal with customers, including "difficult" ones, in a specific situation?
