The first step was an introductory call with HR. They asked about my preferred internship timelines. After that, there were supposed to be rounds assessing quantitative and coding skills. I was expecting timely updates, but unfortunately, I was ghosted after the initial HR call. The HR reached out again after two weeks to check my availability, and I replied, but then heard nothing back. I'm disappointed because I didn't expect this from Jump, given their usual pace for candidate assessments. Overall, the HR person was nice to talk to and it felt like a respectful two-way conversation.

A recruiter hit me up after seeing my application on LinkedIn. We had a quick phone screen where they asked about my background and what I knew about the company. They decided to move forward and sent me an Online Assessment, which I completed by the end of the week. The recruiter then reached out to set up the first round. I only made it to round 1, but I heard there could be up to 4 rounds. Everyone I interacted with was super nice and respectful.

we started with an ML conceptual interview covering past projects and fundamental concepts of transformers and time-series. they also asked about GPU parallelization and hardware stuff. after that, there was a software engineering interview that included a leetcode medium problem. the leetcode part was pretty conversational, I had to figure out the solution approach with the interviewer.

This company was very frustrating, disrespectful, and disorganized. I was invited onsite for two interviews. The first was with the hiring manager who was on his phone responding to messages while I was speaking. Then, I was told the second interviewer wouldn't be able to make it, which the HR who scheduled the interviews didn't know about. A different HR informed me at the last minute. The hiring manager was very arrogant and rude. I'm glad the interview ended there, as I don't want to work with rude people.

  • Can you share some feedback your manager has given you?
