It was not something you should worry about but is surely something you should prepare. The interviewer was not strict and is someone you could talk to. They really listen about yourself and try to find that middle ground in discussing the future probability of my acceptance.

I applied on LinkedIn for what was advertised as a “Brand Ambassador - PAID INTERNSHIP”, but when they called me the next day, I found out it was actually a full-time position, which wouldn't work with my school schedule. I decided to go for the interview anyway, just to see what it was like. The interviewer was really nice and seemed genuinely enthusiastic about her role and the company, though it felt a bit rehearsed. She didn't seem to want to talk for too long, asking if I had any questions or if we were good to go, which made me feel rushed. I figured I wouldn't get a callback, and honestly, I'm not disappointed at all because the whole company seemed a little sketchy from the start.

This interview process is pretty straightforward and has two main parts. The first part is a 20-30 minute chat to get a feel for your personality, kind of like a typical phone screening. They went through my resume step-by-step, asking me to expand on certain things. If they like you, they'll invite you back for a second round. In the second part, a current associate or manager will take you out for coffee or lunch for about 30 minutes. This is another chance to review your resume and see if you're a good fit. Since this is a sales job where you pitch products at different locations, this chat also serves as a 'beer test' to see if they'd enjoy hanging out with you. They want to know you're personable and approachable, so be outgoing! They'll also go over salary details and more about the company and the role. After the coffee/lunch chat, you'll head to one of the company's sales spots, like a Walmart in this case. There, you'll set up a product display and talk to shoppers. You'll also discuss the job and office culture more, while observing how current employees pitch to customers. Afterwards, they said they'd be in touch within a week with feedback.

Applied online and got contacted to set up an interview in less than 24 hours. They didn't really ask about my background or what I'm looking for, just wanted to get me in the door, which was a bit suspicious. When I got to the interview, I found out it wasn't for the position described in the job posting. You apparently have to 'work your way up' to that. Everyone starts out as a 'brand ambassador,' which means setting up a table in Walmart and trying to sell Direct TV. It's not exactly door-to-door sales, but it's pretty close. This position isn't what I was looking for.
