Sales Representative
I applied on LinkedIn for what was advertised as a “Brand Ambassador - PAID INTERNSHIP”, but when they called me the next day, I found out it was actually a full-time position, which wouldn't work with my school schedule. I decided to go for the interview anyway, just to see what it was like. The interviewer was really nice and seemed genuinely enthusiastic about her role and the company, though it felt a bit rehearsed. She didn't seem to want to talk for too long, asking if I had any questions or if we were good to go, which made me feel rushed. I figured I wouldn't get a callback, and honestly, I'm not disappointed at all because the whole company seemed a little sketchy from the start.
- Can you tell me about your past work experience?
- What do you find most rewarding about your current job?
- What made you decide to apply for a position with our company?
Sales
I applied online and then had to do an online questionnaire to see if I qualified for a phone screening. The phone screening was to check out my background and give me more info about the job than what was in the ad. I also got to ask my own questions. After that, I was set up for an in-person interview with two of the managers. They were both really nice, knew their stuff, and were professional.
- Can you tell me about your education?
- Can you tell me about your previous work experiences?
- What are your qualifications?
Sales Representative
The interview process was pretty simple. First, I chatted with an intern who told me a lot about the company and the role. She asked about my background and what I knew about the company. The next day, another person took me to Starbucks to talk more about the position and ask me more questions about myself. Then, we went to a Wal-Mart to see how sales reps work. Both interviewers were really nice and chatty, which made the whole thing easy.
- What are your five-year career goals?
- What do you hope to gain from this role?
