Field Service Technician
I applied in October and the interviews happened in February. The process can take a while, likely because of internal and security stuff. The interview itself was STAR-style and felt quick but okay. I made sure my answers were structured so I could add more details with real examples if the panel asked. Expect a few interviewers to ask quick follow-up questions, which keeps things moving and shows how well you can talk when stressed. Most questions came from my resume and were about a lot of technical things – like behavioral stuff, operating systems, apps, hardware fixes, Linux/Unix, networking basics, storage ideas, and general field support. It was practical, focusing on how you solve problems for real, not just theory. It felt professional, organized, and like a normal chat, focusing on real troubleshooting and working together.
- Can you explain how you approach troubleshooting in a real-world scenario, detailing your thought process when diagnosing a user issue from start to resolution?
Sensor Systems Intern
Applied online for a bunch of APL positions and then a recruiter hit me up to set up the interviews. I only had one interview with an engineer from the team. We basically went over my resume and they asked some technical questions based on my experience. It felt more like a vibe check than a real technical interview.

Engineer
The interview process is chill, made to let you and the team get to know each other. You'll chat with a few people over two short chats, focusing on general tech stuff and your past experiences. Questions will be more like conversations than tough technical deep dives, so you can show off your skills and talk through your work examples. We'll also talk about your interests and career goals. The point is to have a balanced chat where you can learn about the job and team, and we can learn about your strengths and background. We want it to be simple and interesting, more like a conversation than a test.
- Can you describe how you would start building a Sudoku solver?
Postdoctoral Scientist
Had a positive interview experience. Three rounds of interviews including initial phone screening. 1st and 2nd round were with members of the team asking questions about technical experience and some behavioral questions. Last round was onsite interview including research presentation and multiple 1:1s which are also a mix of technical and behavioral. More behavioral questions onsite. Overall everything was smooth and well-coordinated.
