Started with a recruiter call that quickly moved me forward. Then, I interviewed with a general manager, which was okay but not very insightful regarding specific craft issues. After that, I had to complete a writing test that involved playing their mobile game for several hours before actually doing the test. It felt like a full day's work, including the research. Then, radio silence. I tried contacting the recruiter, got shuffled to another, and then back again. After a month of this, I just stopped pursuing it. This was the only recruiting process in my career where I did so much substantial free work, only to be ghosted. It felt unprofessional and insulting. For context, I have years of experience in TV, games, and currently work at a major AAA studio, so this isn't just sour grapes about not getting the job. It was a total lack of respect for applicants and their time, which I still find unacceptable.

Technical

It started with a technical test, which they praised a lot in the follow-up interview, then another in-depth technical test which they seem to enjoy a lot in the second interview, and then nothing, absolute ghosting, not answering emails, no feedback, nothing. Have been ghosted before after having an interview with them for a different position. The positions keep constantly being posted also, and when asking a friend that works there I was told that they didn't know about anyone new getting hired either and that they suspect it is a fake position, but don't have proof of that, just their word.

Behavioral Technical

I started with a recruiter screening call, under 30 minutes, where I talked about myself and my experience. The recruiter got back to me within 3-5 days to set up the next part. The main interview was two back-to-back 30-minute sessions on the same day. The first was with the hiring manager, who asked STAR-based questions. The second was with two senior consumer insights managers, who asked more technical questions. They were interested in my experience with mobile games, the projects I'd done, my research skills, and what I wanted to get out of the job. Everyone was really nice and seemed to care about me personally. They asked about teamwork and how I handle stress.
