Great company and culture, met all qualifications for the job. I have a lot of experience, but unfortunately didn't get past the phone screen. Totally understandable given the job market, they're looking for top talent.

The process was smooth and the questions were simple, and the recruiters were nice, as much as you can expect for intern roles. They didn't ask any technical questions. It was a relaxed experience overall, and I heard back from the hiring manager within two weeks.

Behavioral Technical Coding

I had a phone call with a Laitram recruiter, then a call with the hiring manager and another call with employees from the department. The last part was an onsite where I got to tour the facility , do a SolidWorks test, and answer questions about my previous jobs. Four days after that, the recruiter called to say they were going to consider other people. It was a good experience even though I didn't get the offer.

Behavioral Technical Presentation Case

So the whole thing was like 3 rounds. It started with a quick HR chat, you know, just screening. Then I had another interview with 2 engineers from the team, that was more in-depth. The final round was a whole day thing, pretty intense, with like 20 people from different departments. That day included a tour of the plant and then about 5 or 6 separate sessions. These sessions were a mix of talking about how I'd handle situations and some technical stuff. For the technical parts, I had to solve physics problems about conveyor belts, doing calculations in front of 3-4 engineers. There was also this part where I had to act out being an engineer dealing with different customer situations.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • The behavioral questions were pretty straightforward.
  • The technical questions were entry level physics problems.
