HR Analyst
I was invited to interview the day after the job was posted, and it was only up for about four days. First I talked to the recruiter, did a personality and cognitive test, then met the hiring manager and two team members. Each meeting was around 30 minutes and we did them all in five business days. They were upfront about what they expected and said insightsoftware's culture is fast-paced. While they were all nice and professional, it was a bummer to be ghosted after finishing all four interview rounds and sending a follow-up. It left a bad taste after an otherwise easy process.

Channel Account Manager
I was first contacted by the external recruiter after I applied through LinkedIn. He was really professional and explained the role well. The second round onwards, however, was a terrible experience. I had to take a CCAT test, which has nothing to do with the actual job. It felt like they should have done aptitude testing earlier. The hiring manager was also slow to respond. Then, I was given a case study with a blank canvas and asked to roleplay a post-onboarding call with a partner, but with very little context about the scenario. It felt like a pointless interview because for roleplaying, everyone needs to be prepared, including the interviewers, who clearly weren't. The roleplay ended up being a meaningless exercise.

Customer Account Manager
It took about 5 weeks. I got a call within a week of applying for a phone screen. I then took an online assessment which was proctored, and I thought that was very strange. Then, I had two separate video interviews with leadership. Final interview was with the team itself and included a mock demonstration complete with PowerPoint and Q&A. It was an unnecessarily long process, the first two interviews could have been combined, and it took recruiting a week between interviews to schedule the next. Mock presentation was the most difficult/time-consuming part as it required some preparation and creativity, but this also gave me an opportunity to show off a little. Overall, the process was slow, recruiting was slow, and while I accepted the offer ultimately, I had seriously considered dropping out of the process.

The interview process is a structured series of interactions and assessments that organizations use to evaluate and select candidates for job positions. It typically consists of several stages, each designed to assess different aspects of a candidate's qualifications, skills, and cultural fit. Here's a general overview of the typical interview process: Application Submission: The process usually begins when a candidate submits an application or resume through the company's website or a job board. Some organizations also require candidates to complete an online application form. Resume Screening: HR or hiring managers review submitted resumes to identify candidates who meet the basic qualifications for the job. Candidates who meet the initial criteria are invited to move on to the next stage. Phone/Screening Interview: In many cases, candidates are first interviewed over the phone or via video call. This initial interview is typically conducted by a recruiter or HR professional and focuses on assessing the candidate's interest in the role, general qualifications, and availability. First-Round Interview: Candidates who pass the initial screening may be invited for a first-round interview. This interview is usually with the hiring manager or a panel of interviewers and delves deeper into the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience. Behavioral questions and technical questions related to the job may be asked. Assessments or Tests: Depending on the position, candidates may be asked to complete job-related assessments or tests. For example, technical roles may require coding tests, while sales positions may involve role-playing scenarios.
