Project Manager
The interview process had two main stages. First up was the Hiring Manager Interview, which was pretty great. It was a good chat about the job and what they needed, and what I could offer. The hiring manager was ready, nice, and made it feel professional and welcoming. Then came the HR Interview. This one was different, more like a coaching session than a job interview. The HR person is also a life coach, and it felt like they brought that into our professional chat. They seemed to have already made up their mind about me, and it felt like a really subjective and biased process disguised as a 'cultural fit' thing. After that, I heard nothing. No feedback, no idea about next steps or a timeline, and my follow-up email was ignored. So, future candidates, be aware that stage one and stage two are worlds apart, and you should know what you're getting into.
- Was expecting a standard job interview, but it felt more like a client assessment instead.
- The questions asked seemed to reflect someone who is blurring the lines between their professional role and their external coaching qualifications.
Real Estate Paralegal
I applied online and then a recruiter from CBRE got in touch with me about three weeks later. We had a 30 minute phone chat. They asked a lot of behavioral questions and were super friendly. They also gave me a quick rundown of what the job would be like day-to-day. It took them about three weeks after that to let me know what the hiring team decided.
- Can you describe how you manage challenging clients or colleagues?
- What's a positive thing your coworkers have said about you?
- Share an instance where you received feedback meant to help you improve.
Member Experience Associate
Applied online, got an email to schedule a phone screen. I scheduled it, but the recruiter cancelled the day of and asked me to reschedule with an associate. Had a nice chat with the interviewer a few days later and got good feedback. Then, three hours after that, I got an email saying I was rejected. They talk about diversity but I didn't see any during the process.
- Tell me what you know about Industrious.
Membership Manager
The first interview was a quick 20-minute phone chat with a recruiter. After that, I had a video call with someone currently in a similar role at another location, who's been with the company for a few years. This was a good chance to ask about the job duties and daily tasks. The next step was an assignment sent by email: a task to reply to a lead with a sample email and come up with ideas to hit goals. I had a whole day to send it back, and they said it should take about 2-3 hours. The final interview was a longer video call with the Inside Sales Manager, who would be my direct supervisor. It was mostly a discussion.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Could you describe your current role?
- Tell me about your previous work experience that's relevant to this position.
